Concert for St. George’s Day Saturday 23rd April 2016 at 7:30 pm. St John’s church Hagley.
The Victorian hand bells will get their first public airing since being refurbished, at the “Concert for St. George’s Day. Milly Purton’s group has had fantastic support from the Halesowen hand bell ringers’ Music Director Mike Lashford. The recent raffle and other donations have raised over £2000 for the renewal of the bell straps and retuning.
St. John’s and Halesowen hand bell ringers will be playing a traditional selection of music. Plus there will be other music including organ music.
Tickets are £7.50 & £5.00 (restricted view) including light refreshments and free prize draw for a bottle of malt whiskey. A licensed bar will be selling wine. Tickets are available from bell-ringers, Happy Families and other shops in Hagley displaying the poster.

A setting of the Lords Prayer.
Susan Grant will be playing Flute Solo.
Paul Evans playing organ music: Vierne's Carillon.
There will be readings from Shakespeare as the 23rd April 2016 is the 400th aniversary of his death.

The tower bell ringers will be commemorating St. George’s Day, with a touch of change ringing at 3pm on St. George’s Day.
